Sealed proposals for North Grove Park Development – Site Construction in Sycamore, IL,
shall be received at the District offices: 480 Airport Road, Sycamore, IL 60178 until 10:00
a.m. local time, December 20, 2024, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read
aloud.
Work generally includes asphalt paving, asphalt color coat, concrete paving, concrete
sloped entry, sloped entry with curb, crushed limestone trail, integral curb at walk, curb at
playground, engineered wood fiber, playground equipment, picnic shelter, bench, picnic
table, game table, playground underdrainage, drain cleanout, mitered drain, shade trees,
evergreen trees, native seed mix, and lawn restoration.
Bid documents will be available from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s Planroom beginning December

Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are also
encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
services, and construction.
This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development” (OSLAD) grant program.
Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the
successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor
and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a
contract.
All contracts for work herein are subject to all City rules and regulations, and providing for
the payment of Dekalb County’s prevailing wage rate to all workers involved in these
projects. All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening. The Sycamore Park
District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to
accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the City.
