2.01 PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
A. Indian Prairie School District 204, hereinafter known as Owner, is accepting sealed bids for playground renovations at Brooks Elementary, Steck Elementary, Welch Elementary, and Prairie Children Preschool located in Aurora, Illinois.
B. Stipulated Lump Sum Bids will be received until 1:00 p.m., local standard time, on January 14, 2025 at the business office of the School District at 780 Shoreline Road, Aurora, Illinois 60504 Bids will be publicly opened immediately following.
1. Bids received after designated time and date of bid opening will not be considered.
2. Two (2) copies of Bid must be submitted, on the form provided, along with two (2) copies of all required supplements.
3. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid must be submitted with the Bid.
C. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the Contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District.
2.02 PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
A. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, and an acceptable Certificate of Insurance, will be required from the successful Bidder.
B. Bidders must comply with Illinois Complied Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/, requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly-funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount.
C. Contract will be subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statute, Ch. 69, Par. 1-101, et. seq. .”(Including the requirement that every party to a public contract shall have adopted written sexual harassment policies, P.A. 87-1257).
D. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of ninety (90) days after submission.
