Hunter Prairie Park

The Frankfort Square Park District requests sealed bids for the Hunter Prairie Park Redevelopment

project. Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, drainage and plumbing, walks and paving,

site furnishings, playground installation with surfaces, fencing (security & park), athletic netting for

batting cages, and native seeding, planting and turf restoration/seeding. This project is being financed, in

part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, “Open Space Land Acquisition &

Development” (OSLAD) grant program. “Minority” business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the

approved project and successful contract bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors

for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.

Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents will be available on

October 1, 2024 at www.accurateplanroom.com.

Substantial completion is anticipated by June 27, 2025 with final completion by July 25, 2025.

An optional pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 2:00PM Friday, October 4, 2024.

Bids must be received no later than October 10, 2024, by 1:30 pm and will then be opened and read

aloud at the Frankfort Square Park District, 7540 W. Braemar Lane, Frankfort, Illinois 60423. All bidders

will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid

amount, payable to the Frankfort Square Park District.
